Allegiance: Allies



History:
UberClan started in 2003 as an Allied Clan when the Axis RDK and Allied NKVD clans merged. The main reasons for the merger were the bonds of friendship between players in both clans and the imbalance of the game in favor of the Axis. The clan quickly became the largest in terms of total active players. Additionally, UberClan administered the Allied University, a site which trained many new players in basic skills and advanced strategies, including what at the time was the revolutionary early ranking and meganuking strat.

A period of decline ended with the clan splitting up within a year. Many players resented UberClan, which was perceived as overly elitist and arrogant. The majority of the moderators were in UberClan, which caused resentment. Many Uber players went on to be in the UoS and BiA clans. In 2007 when many original Ubers had come back to the game and excitement generated by EliteWorx's purchase of War2 was high, UberClan was restored as an Allied Clan.

UberClan members are known for elephant themed avatars in the forum and frequent comments about Fatmouse. The original UberClan's era is called "The Age of Gargamojo", after a legendary player from the dawn of the game.

In the "Age of Fatmouse", the current era which coincides with EliteWorx's administration of War2, UberClan is home to perhaps the largest contingent of players from the old Wolvesden clan. UberClan is also the home of the majority of former =FF= players.

UberClan often sends players to the Axis side to help maintain game balance. This is restricted to veteran members of the clan, and at present all UberClan players are playing on the Allied side.

Organization:

UberClan is run democratically by all members that have played a significant number of rounds with the clan, achieved a strong familiarity with the game, and shown a high level of activity within the clan. At present all active members are voting members. In general the only time votes are required is when the clan is deciding whether or not to open recruitment to newbies, and whether or not to accept veterans who apply. Although majority rules, if any member has a strong objection to an applicant most other members will vote to reject the applicant to keep the clan in harmony.

The original UberClan in the AoG was run by a similar system, with all NKVD and RDK members being the original board members, and new members climbing up a series of ranks until they were voted into the ruling group. There was also a system of medals given for various achievements, including MVP and the infamous "Golden Plunger" given to that vet who had the most uncharacteristically bad round.

The medal and rank system was not revived for the AoF incarnation of UberClan since there was less of a desire to make the clan seem fun to newbies who are rarely granted admittance.
