SpookACR Forgotten Clans 0 Sep 10 2008, 9:33 PM EDT by SpookACR

Upon reading the list of clans which are currently detailed here I would like to list a few fallen/forgotten clans which had brilliant players and were very influential upon the game during their time:

WolvesDen (I know they are mentioned briefly)
Camelot (Disgruntled vets joining together in one clan)
MPSF (USA ex-SF/SF Servicemen)
SF (Faction formed own clan in later years)
OSS (Terrorfox's intelligence clan)
The Crusaders (Allied Veterans tried to combat against the Axis equivalent, failed I think...)
Do you find this valuable?

SpookACR ACR 0 Sep 10 2008, 9:25 PM EDT by SpookACR

The American Clan Ring (ACR) was started by Dwight D Eisenhower back when the game started, 1998/1999. With the original members being made up of Rickenbacker and Rufious who upon Dwight's disappearance took charge the clan and steered it to be one of the best Allied Clans!

At it's height there would be atleast 10 ACR in the top 50 Allies, having trained up the likes of Buller, Bugg, Lister, Rolfus, Malaise, Warshrike, Sherpa, Lord Whypser and Spook. Each proving themselves to be great veterans of War2. Over time, the ACR attracted the likes of Regis, Eye, Terrorfox and other well known veterans due to their loose playing style, unlike many other clans at the time, the ACR never laid down strict strategies for it's members to follow preferring to work loosely together to achieve a common aim, offering advice. It was a very social clan which was proven by the number of posts in the Officers' Bar which throughout time was propped up by many well known veterans.

As the ACR started to wind down, the list of members grew short and recruitment stopped completely, leaving the clan with a core set of veterans who just loved to play the game. At this time, the ACR still maintained it's presence in the rankings through Bugg who took upon leadership before the clan faded way, like all old soldiers.

The ACR was taken axis by Rolfus in later years after the clan had faded away. This was frowned by returning veterans who maintained that the clan was to upkeep it's rightful place upon the Allied Side and disassociated themselves with the newly formed Axis Clan Ring, continuing themselves as the original American Clan Ring.

The ACR will live on in our memories and so will the Generals who have been lost with time...
